Observing location and time

Time : between 20h30 and 21h UT

Observing site : Toussain, Seine-Maritime (76), Northern France

Geographical coordinates : lat. = 49° 44' N ; lon. = 00° 25' E

Comments : The observer didn't look at his waych while observing the fireball. That's why the time of appearance is not very precise.

Comments : From the North to the South, passing 10° west of Jupiter (the fireball began to be observed at this point).

Apparent magnitude: ~ -6

Duration: 1.5 second

Color: white

Fragmentation: --

Persistant train: none

Apparent speed: between 10 and 20°/s

Sound: --

Shower: probable Perseid

Comments : The fireball had the shape of a spindle. It crossed 15° in the sky.
